O’Hara Mill Online Auction Rules

Welcome to the O’Hara Mill 1st Annual Facebook Online Auction!  Below are the rules and procedures for this auction.

The Auction will run from Saturday, October 23rd from 8 PM until Saturday, November 6th at 8 PM EST.  After the cut-off time no further bids will be accepted.

BIDDING PROCEDURES:  Once you’re on the Event Facebook page (https://fb.me/e/2R5sBglEE ), the Items up for bid will be displayed.  You can see all of the items by scrolling down on our Event Page.  To bid on an item, enter your bid amount in the indicated (comment) section below and press enter.  Your bid will then appear.  Bidding amounts must be in increments of at least $1.00.  If the bid amount before yours is $10 you must bid an amount of $11 or higher.  Please only comment on the bidding amount with no other comments.

WINNING BIDS: The participants with the highest bids at the close of the auction now become the buyers of the items and will be notified by Messenger.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:  We accept Email Money Transfers to jamesohara1880@gmail.com,  Visa & Mastercard prior to time of pickup.  Cash payments can be made at time of pickup.

CLAIMING ITEMS:  All items will be picked up on Saturday, November 13th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at O’Hara Mill Homestead, 638 Mill Road, Madoc.  Signs will be posted in the Parking Area to pick up at the covered Pavilion near the Mill Pond.  In order to keep safe social distancing we will make appointments in 5 minute intervals.

GENERAL INFORMATION:  Unless otherwise specified, the following conditions apply to all the items in the Auction.

  • All sales are final.  Items may be viewed by appointment if requested.  All items are sold “as is” unless otherwise noted.

  • Auction description of items includes estimates of the items fair market value where applicable.  All values are estimated only and are not guaranteed by O’Hara Volunteer Association.  Values are declared by the donors.

  • By his/her purchase, the buyer waives any claim for liability against the Association or it’s volunteers or donors.  Neither O’Hara Volunteer Association nor the donors are responsible for any personal injuries or damages to property that may result from the use of property or services sold.

  • Services: Gratuities for stylist, technicians, trainers and other service providers are generally not included in the gift certificates.  Please remember to show your appreciation accordingly.
