Shingle Making Demonstration

DEMONSTRATION FRIDAY/ JULY 24TH, 2020

Today we join volunteer Dave Little as he shows us how shingles were made by early farmers prior to the nineteen hundreds. This necessary task was one that required a lot of work and skill as you will see watching the video.

Its amazing how much effort and time it would have taken to make a single shingle, not to mention enough for an entire barn roof!
